Department of Management and International Business

Jerry Haar, associate dean for international programs, professor and research fellow, was quoted in an article about the economic recovery titled Pulling out fastest: health, tourism, education, government in Miami Today.

Department of Decision Sciences and Information Systems

Monica Chiarini Tremblay, assistant professor, has had her article “Using Focus Groups for Artifact Refinement and Evaluation,” written with two colleagues, published in Communications of the AIS, a high quality journal.

Department of Finance and Real Estate

William Hardin, director, Real Estate Programs, professor and Knight-Ridder Research Fellow, was quoted in two articles: Good news, bad news on foreclosures in The Miami Herald and Commercial real estate good for buyers, but not for sellers in Miami Today.

Ken H. Johnson, associate professor, had an Op-Ed piece, titled To buy or not to buy?, in The Miami Herald.

At the annual Faculty Awards Luncheon, Executive Dean Joyce J. Elam acknowledged faculty members for their accomplishments, including their publication record. A total of 30 faculty members had articles published in premier journals in the past year. Among that group, four had three premier journal publications each: from the Department of Finance and Real Estate, Robert Daigler, Knight Ridder Center Research Fellow; William Hardin, director, Real Estate Programs, professor and Knight-Ridder Research Fellow; and Zhonghua Wu, assistant professor; and from the Department of Management and International Business, Mary Ann Von Glinow, professor and Knight Ridder Eminent Scholar Chair in International Management.
