Three prominent individuals and four leading organizations recognized at Miami Today's 12th annual Gold Medal Awards

Committed organizations unite to sponsor Gold Medal Awards

The 2011 Gold Medal Awards were sponsored by seven prominent local businesses and organizations that share a commitment to the community and its outstanding citizens.

Representing event co-sponsor Wachovia and Wells Fargo banks, Kathryn Dinkin, Wachovia’s Southeast Florida regional president, joined Miami Today Publisher Michael Lewis in presenting the 2011 Lifetime Achievement Award to Phillip Frost, MD, in recognition of outstanding work in the Miami community over many years. Most recently, Dr, Frost and his wife Patricia, donated $35 million to the Science Museum’s capital campaign fund.

Among organizations, this year, two contestants – Miami Dade College and WPBT Channel 2-shared Gold Medal status. Presenting these awards for sponsor Morrison Brown Argiz & Farra (MBAF) was CEO and managing partner Tony Argiz.
