Florida International University said Wednesday that Jerry Haar, FIU’s associate dean for international programs and a professor in the Department of Management & International Business, has been named director of the Eugenio Pino and Family Global Entrepreneurship Center.
A Fellow of the Pino Center prior to his current assignment as associate dean, Haar was director of the Center’s Institute of Family Business and associate director of the Knight Ridder Center for Excellence in Management. Haar’s latest book Small Firms, Global Markets focuses on the business strategies and public policy issues vis-à-vis entrepreneurial firms in the global environment. Currently, he is completing another book The Future of Entrepreneurship in Latin America with Esteban Brenes of INCAE Business School in Costa Rica, FIU said.
