As the spring semester at Florida International University (FIU) drew to a close, students, faculty and alumni gathered at the College of Business for “Roary-ing Into Success,” the name of this year’s annual awards presentation and celebration. Over 150 people attended the event.
“It’s gratifying to have an opportunity to recognize not only organizations, but also the students who have gone above and beyond to great achievement,” said Ileana Canizares (BBA ’12), coordinator of student relations at the college.
Opening the evening of celebration to all College of Business students, whether or not they belonged to a business organization, helped create a sense of unity during a night of festivities and recognition, she said.
“People felt the energy in the room as well as the FIU Business pride, and they were inspired by the success stories,” Canizares said.
