Jose M. Aldrich joins College of Business as Vice Dean – Administration.

Jose M. Aldrich, a 35-year veteran of KPMG LLP, who recently led its Latin America tax practice, has been appointed vice dean—administration at Florida International University’s (FIU) College of Business.

“Jose Aldrich is a successful international leader who is known for his professionalism, collegiality and business acumen,” said David R. Klock, dean of the College of Business.  “I am confident that he will be instrumental in helping to guide the college, and will serve as a mentor and role model for our students.”

Aldrich’s responsibilities will include leading the college’s internal finance and management information systems teams, assisting the dean in strategic and operational planning and working with the college’s development team in ongoing fundraising efforts.

“I am looking forward to collaborating with Dean Klock and the excellent faculty and staff to continue and further the student-focused mission of the College of Business, and the work of this outstanding university,” Aldrich said.

CPA, attorney led key practice areas for international firm.

As managing partner in charge of KPMG LLP’s tax practice in Latin America, Aldrich managed an organization covering 16 countries with over 1,800 professionals and 114 partners. He previously served as partner in charge of KPMG’s South Florida tax practice, and its New York-based Americas Tax Center.

Aldrich received a bachelor’s and law degrees from the University of Miami. He is licensed as an attorney and certified public accountant in the state of Florida, and is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, the Florida Institute of CPAs and the Florida Bar. He has served as a member of the Dean’s Council of the College of Business, and FIU’s Foundation Board.
