De La Hoz & Associates has appointed David G. Barbeito (BAcc ’97, MAcc ’03) director. Prior to joining the firm, he was the principal-in-charge of the audit department and led the middle market audit group for Morrison Brown Argiz & Farra LLC.

CREC has named Sabrina Meerbott (MBA ’99) a co-director of retail leasing. She oversees a team handling a portfolio of 4.8 million square feet of space across the state.

The Florida International University Foundation has appointed Alberto Santalo (MBA ’97) to its board. He is the founder, chairman and chief executive officer of CareCloud.

Andres Dominguez

Andres Dominguez (MBA ’12), co-founder and managing director of Natural Sins, was featured in an article in The Miami Herald.

The Historic Preservation Association of Coral Gables has elected Karelia Martinez Carbonell (BBA ’93, MBA ’97) president.

Miami commissioners affirmed the appointment of Daniel Alfonso (BBA ’01, MSF ’02) as city manager. He was named budget director in 2011 and in 2013 he was promoted to chief financial officer.

Hogan Lovells has added Roland Potts (MBA ’06) as associate in the litigation and arbitration practice. Before joining the firm, he was an associate with Lydecker.

BankUnited named Thomas Cornish (BBA ‘85) State President of Florida. Before joining the firm he served as president and CEO of Marsh & McLennan Agency, Florida Region.
