  • Logistics infrastructure company WTDC has promoted Sean P. Gazitúa (BBA ’04) to director of logistics.
  • Demian Bellumio (BBA ’00) was featured in the “Business” section of The Miami Herald this month. His company, Hoodiny Entertainment Group, offers complete artist catalogs online and develops web sites for top artists like Pitbull and Ricky Martin. His newest development, ElHood.com, is being compared to a bilingual MySpace because of its networking capabilities, except his is geared for the Hispanic market worldwide.
  • Anna Figueroa (BBA ’91) has joined WGEN-TV, Channel 8, as president of sales. Formerly, she was national sales manager for WJAN-TV, Channel 41.
  • The Related Group has appointed Matthew J. Allen (MBA ’91) executive vice president and chief operating officer.
  • Jose I. Juncadella (BBA ’91), founder of Fairchild Partners, has been named to the board of governors of the Realtor Association of Greater Miami and The Beaches’ and of the Realtors Commercial Alliance.
  • Ramon de Legorburu (BA ’95) has joined accounting firm Morrison Brown Argiz & Farra, LLP, as director of litigation and valuation.
  • Edgar Ceballos (BBA ’99) is a member of the steering committee of the first Hispanic Executive Supply Management Summit (HESMS), organized by the Supply Management Institute. He is looking forward to the upcoming event in Scottsdale, Arizona, on August 23rd and 24th.
  • Ramon Ferran (BBA ’79), senior vice president of corporate lending at TotalBank, has been elected to the FIU Alumni Association’s board of directors.
