Alumni Notes: Winter 2017

Cristina di Mauro (BBA ’01) has been promoted to senior executive vice president at BankUnited. She is a member of the College of Business’ Dean’s Council.

Biana Murnane (Bacc ’95, Macc ’01) has been named executive vice president and chief financial officer at BrightStar Credit Union. She began at the business in 1997 as a controller.

Northern Trust promoted Rick Fernandez (BBA ’93) to managing director of one of its wealth advisory teams.

Emma Pacetti (BBA ’06) joins the TotalBank team as senior vice president and director of banking centers. She was previously vice president and sales manager at Citibank.

MBAF has named Marcelle Acosta-Rubio (BBA ’08) director of learning and development. As part of her new role, Acosta-Rubio is responsible for developing training courses in management, leadership, and technical systems, as well as creating on-boarding programs.

Marquis Bank promoted Janet Henfield-Green (BBA ’00, MBA ’10) to senior vice president and Aventura market manager, where she will be responsible for developing the the bank’s presence in northeast Miami-Dade and south Broward.

Michael Rodriguez (BBA ‘14) has been named mortgage banker at Home Financing Center where he will help create mortgage loan programs to aid current and prospective homeowners.

The Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce honored Carlos Migoya (BBA ’74, MBA ’76) with the Chamber’s most prestigious award, the Sand in My Shoes Award, which recognizes a community leader who has made significant contributions to the South Florida area.
