The manuscript, “Does Gender Matter? A Review of Work-related Gender Commonalities,” has been accepted for publication in the peer-reviewed Gender in Management: An International Journal. Co authors include G. Ronald Gilbert, clinical professor; Meredith Burnett, assistant professor; Jerry Haar, associate dean for international programs, professor and research fellow; and a colleague.

A paper titled “Multi-Level Reputation Signals in Service Industries in Latin America,” by William Newburry, associate professor and Knight Ridder Research Professor, and doctoral student Abrahim Soleimani, won the “Best Paper Award” at the Academy of International Business Latin America Chapter Annual Meeting in Rio de Janeiro in June 2010. At the conference, doctoral student Armando Borda was one of four finalists for the “Best Doctoral Student Dissertation Proposal Award” and received one of 23 “Best Reviewer Awards” for the conference, out of a total of 1,220 reviewers.
