Marquis Bank has promoted Jessica Nieves (BBA ’00) to assistant vice president, personal banker and lending assistant. She will be opening and managing accounts for four different banks and will be responsible for loan administration.

Emery Sheer (BAcc ’77) has opened Sheer & Company, a CPA and business advisory firm in Coconut Grove. He was previously chief financial officer of Aranon Corporation and managing partner for South Florida of Cherry Bakaert & Holland, CPAs.

Daniel Salgado

Mizner Country Club has hired Daniel Salgado (BBA ’08) as their clubhouse manager and director of Food & Beverage. He previously worked at The Club of Admirals Cove as their director of Food & Beverage.

Elizabeth Vento (BBA ’94) has been hired by City National Bank of Florida as their vice president and business banker.

Alex Alonso

Curve Commercial welcomes Alex Alonso (BBA ’86) as their senior commercial underwriter. His responsibilities include maintaining the compliance agreements with Curve Commercial clients and ensuring a smooth and convenient process for the underwriting process.

Frank Gonzalez (BBA ’79) has assumed the role of treasurer for the 2015-2016 Orange Bowl Executive Committee.
