The series of virtual discussions, launched this month and continuing through the spring and summer, will cover topics ranging from technology, leadership and financial markets to global trends in business education. It underscores the college’s leadership in international business education, illustrated by its U.S. News & World Report No. 2 ranking for the undergraduate international business program and No.  ranking for its international MBA program.

The series launched with “Navigating the New Global Trade Environment,” a panel moderated by international business professor Jerry Haar, with guests William Reinsch, Scholl Chair, International Business, Center for Strategic and International Studies and David Lewis, vice president, Manchester Trade. With global trade at an inflection point, and recent drifts towards populism, nationalism and protectionism by a number of nations and the change of administration in the United States, the discussion explores potential new paths for international trade and commerce.

The second episode, Social Economy and the COVID-19 Crisis: A catalyst for Change, was moderated by FIU Business Dean Joanne Li and featured Eric Corneul, general director and CEO, EFMD (European Foundation for Management Development). Future episodes will be moderated by Bill Hardin and Sumit Kundu, both FIU Business associate deans

The series is available on the FIU Business Global Business Forum YouTube Channel.
