Alumni Notes: March 2012

Margaret Brisbane (BBA ’80) was the recipient of a Torch Award at the 11th annual Torch Awards Gala on March 3, 2012. The awards, which recognize selected individuals for the positive impact they make on their profession, the community and the university, honor the memory of Senator Ernest R. Graham, who helped create FIU.

Berkowitz Dick Pollack and Brant named Diana L. Rodriguez (MS ’99, BACC ’94) associate director in tax services practice. Formerly a manager with the firm, she rejoined it after working in the tax departments of Ernst & Young and PwC.

“Women Who Lead,” a program offered by FIU’s Women’s Center, featured Monique Catoggio (EMBA ’03) as a keynote speaker. She is director of advancement, alumni and corporate relations for FIU Business.

Estefania Chuecos (BBA ’07) was profiled in the NSHMBA South Florida Chapter Newsletter. She is a vice president financial advisor at Chase Investment Services.

Compuquip Technologies has promoted Lin-Dai Quant (BBA ’07) to service desk manager. She was previously the company’s service desk supervisor.

Apollo Bank has named Ana Alvarez Osteen (MBA ’08) chief credit officer. She was previously senior vice president and credit risk manager at Miami’s Expocredit Corp.
