Congratulations to South Florida Business Journal 2014 CFO finalists Beatriz Anazco (BA’cc 91) CFO of Goodwill Industries of South Florida, Monica Navarro (BBA ’99) CFO of Kids In Distress and the financial deal of the year winner, Ronald Rubin (MS ’93) CFO of Global Towers Partners.

Fowler White Burnett has added Miguel A. Acosta (BA’cc 05) as associate to the firm’s commercial litigation practice group, where he focuses his practice on the legal representation of numerous businesses and financial institutions in real estate litigation. He received his Juris Doctor from FIU College of Law.

Diego A. Suarez (BA’cc ’05, MA’cc ’06) recently got promoted to director, global marketing, finance and administration at Burger King Corporation. He has been at the company for the past four years. Previously to Burger King, he worked as a senior associate at Ernst & Young and PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Marcelo Pagella (EMBA ’09) was hired by Citrix Systems for their sales, Citrix Cloud Solutions – Latin America. Previously, he worked for Microsoft for six years at various positions, his latest as channel executive.

Mercy Bradley, executive director of FIU Healthcare MBA, and Anup Sabharwal (MBA ’12) were featured in an article titled “Should You Get a Healthcare MBA? The Experts Weigh In” in The Profitable Practice Blog.
