Stan Rubin (BAcc ’77), executive vice president, chief financial officer and chief risk officer at Ocean Bank, received the Turnaround Deal of the Year recognition at the South Florida Business Journal’s annual CFO Awards, held January 28, 2015.

Central Florida Equipment Rentals has named Marcus Thermes (MBA ’13) vice president. He is responsible for supervision, business development, marketing strategies, and oversight on procurement and estimating for upcoming projects.

Janessa Cabo (BBA ’04) joined TotalBank as vice president and market manager for three banking centers. She manages all business development as well as sales and lending.

Alejandro Trujillo (BAcc. ’02) is now a partner at Verdeja, De Armas & Trujillo, LLP. He has 12 years of experience in public accounting as well as experience in audits of nonprofit, for-profit and governmental organization.

Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. has named Jose Llop (BBA ’07) area assistant vice president. He is responsible for giving advice, placement and service on property & casualty as well as employee benefits programs.

Monique Catoggio (EMBA ’03) was selected to teach Leadership & Negotiations for the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Program at Miami Dade College, in partnership with Babson College. Additionally, she recently presented “Leveraging Your Strengths for Greater Effectiveness and Well-Being” for members of The Commonwealth Institute.
