FIU Business’ Global Sales Program has signed Bank of America Merchant Services as its first Global Level Sponsor.

The sponsorship, slated for fall 2018 through spring 2022, will bring the payments, eCommerce and security company into a multifaceted relationship with the program and its students. It will include serving as Product Sponsor for FIU Sales’ Panther Sales Tournament for a three-year period starting in 2019, opportunities for classroom visits and workshop presentations to the Sales Society. A case room in the Global Sales Lab will also be customized with the company’s branding.

Bank of America Merchant Services is a leader in the payments industry, and a trusted provider of global payment, eCommerce and security solutions for businesses of all sizes. “We are thrilled to establish this relationship with Florida International University’s Global Sales Program,” said Marian Wilson, chief human resources officer for Bank of America Merchant Services. “It’s clear this unique educational experience thoroughly prepares students for today’s workforce and equips them with the tools they need to help them grow professionally and personally. We are excited to engage with and host the students in our dedicated space in the Global Sales Lab.”

“Learning, networking and connecting is at the heart of the Global Sales Program,” said Nancy A. Rauseo, university instructor in the Department of Marketing and Logistics and director of the Global Sales Program. “All of us welcome the opportunity to develop a broad, deep collaboration with Bank of America Merchant Services.”

She noted that the partnership will also give students the opportunity to get an up-close look at the company’s culture, products and customer feedback, as well as career possibilities.

It includes the Global Sales Lab, a state-of-the-art recording facility. It also includes degree specializations (the Certificate in Sales and CRM and the Minor in Professional Sales); competitions such as the Panther Sales Tournament in fall and the Global Bilingual Sales Competition in spring; the Sales Society, the student organization; the Sales Apprentice Program; and corporate sponsorships.
