The College of Business’ led the Holiday season with the celebration of our Fall 2016 graduate and undergraduate commencement ceremonies, where 1,278 students walked across the stage to receive their degrees. There were also anniversary events and a gathering of faculty and staff.
Let’s take a look back at some of our favorite images from December captured by photographer Kayla Hauge:
Cheers of joy — and tears of pride — were part of the celebration for 573 students from the Alvah H. Chapman Graduate School of Business received a master’s degree and one Doctor of Philosophy degree in Business Administration.
Years of study, determination and hard work paid off for 600 of the students from the R. Kirk Landon Undergraduate School of Business, and 103 students from the School of Accounting, who earned a bachelor’s degree.
MSIRE 10th Anniversary
A decade ago, 15 students and three full-time professors came together as the first class of FIU’s Master’s in International Real Estate program. To celebrate its success and showcase alumni achievements, the program hosted a Holiday Networking Social in early December.
An event designed to educate and empower students was held at the SunTrust FIU Financial Wellness Clinic, a state-of-the-art bilingual financial literacy center created through a $600,000 grant from the SunTrust Foundation to FIU’s College of Business.
